Wendy Gourley
Wendy Gourley came to Resonance Story Theatre from a background in musical theatre and storytelling. She was on the teaching staff at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, Utah where she was the founder and co-director of VocalWorks, a musical theatre program for children, grades 2-12. She developed curriculum and helped oversee the education of hundreds of children. She wrote and directed many of the children’s productions, and acted and musically directed for the main stage as well. While in Park City, Wendy was also the music and drama teacher at the Colby School.
Through her storytelling, Wendy performs at festivals, concerts, schools and conferences, including the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, the second largest festival in the United States.
She is a past president of the Utah Storytelling Guild, on the membership committee of the National Storytelling Network and a national columnist for the Storytelling Magazine. She has produced many events and currently serves on the Timpanogos Storytelling Conference committee. Wendy handles the business end of Resonance Story Theatre and fills the role of co-producer, grant writer and playwright. www.wendygourley.com
